Xineering at Subiefest Florida 2026
Brake, press the clutch, and the Downshift Blip Module blips the throttle for you. No heel-and-toe needed. It plugs in at the pedal, works on stock and tuned cars, and unplugs just as easily.

Downshift Blip Module, 100% Plug and Play kit for the Subaru BRZ, WRX, or STI
The winner confirms their car's fitment with us before it ships.
How it works
The whole thing in three steps.
The module watches your brake and clutch switch circuits. Press the brake and it gets ready. It never sends voltage into those circuits.
Press the clutch while you are still on the brake and it blips the throttle. Clutch without brake does nothing, so your upshifts are untouched.
About 99% of the time your own pedal signal passes straight through. Each kit ships already set up for your Subaru, so there is no pedal learn or calibration.

How the blip behaves
The module sends your ECU the same throttle command on every downshift. How much rpm that command adds depends on where the engine is when the blip starts. Start higher in the rev range and the same blip gains more rpm.
The driver brings the revs up with his foot, lifts off the throttle, then presses the brake and clutch, exactly like a real downshift. That triggers the blip, and the tach shows how the engine reacts.
Every blip in this clip is 80% for 180 ms. The command never changes between runs. Only the rpm it starts from does.
Blip from lower rpm and the revs rise less. Blip from higher up and the identical command adds more. That is your engine and drive-by-wire responding the way they would to a heel-and-toe blip at the same rpm. The module is not changing anything.

Quick answers
No. The module does not touch your ECU, your calibration, or your map. During a blip it sends a pedal signal inside the same range your own foot produces, so it works the same on stock and tuned cars.
Every Subaru, Scion, and Toyota 86 on this page takes the 100% Plug and Play kit. It uses OEM connectors at the pedal, brake, and clutch, so nothing is cut or tapped, and it includes an on/off switch.
Driving a Subaru that is not on the list? If it has a manual transmission and drive-by-wire, there is a good chance it is plug and play too. Ask us and we will confirm it for your car.
When you order, pick your vehicle and we build the kit that fits it.
It can. The module reads only brake then clutch. It has no speed or rpm input. If you do that sequence at a stop, it blips. The 100% Plug and Play kit includes an on/off switch, so most owners turn it off for slow traffic.
Yes, and it is easy. Every Subaru kit is 100% plug and play, so nothing is cut, spliced, or tapped. Unplug the module, reconnect the OEM connectors at the pedal, brake, and clutch, and the car is back to stock. Your ECU and tune are never touched, so there is nothing to undo there either.
